Your other option is to take I-10 to Lake Charles and then go north on Hwy 171. The first 5 miles on Hwy 171 is 40 to 50 mph, then it is 4 lane hwy @ 65 mph the rest of the way.
This would be few miles longer..... but probably smoother drive pulling the boat.
