Default Charters in St. Lucia

I am going to St. Lucia for my honeymoon in November. I have successfully talked my fiance into taking one day to do a chartered fishing trip. I have looked on the internet and all of the charter companies seem about the same.

I am not interested in one of these charter trips where they pile twenty people on a boat and everyone goes catch mangrove snappers for two hours. I want to charter a boat for just us two and catch some quality fish (hopefully my first ever marlin). I have been out of Venice so I understand what good fishing is about.

Has anyone ever been fishing in St. Lucia and if so with who and what was your experience like? Thanks for your help

We are staying at Sandals. Leaning towards Sandals Holycon now but still thinking about LaToc.

Great to hear from someone who has been. We have been trying to decide on a location for months and finally got tired of looking and decided on St. Lucia. Going to book sometime this week.

So other than Joe knows tour any other suggestions? Did you guys do much snorkeling/diving? How were the reefs? Can't wait to get in the water!

U get to snorkel on a big reef during the joe knows tour.
We also did "snuba" it's a cross of scuba and snorkel- thru sandals activity.
The scuba service is really nice;
The water is super clear and the reefs are great.
Get certified b4 u go; makes it easier!

There is a zip line jungle tour - thru sandals activities; we didn't go bc a storm hit that day.
There are charter boats available thru sandals also. Very good prices and boats. Spend half a day at the spa. Totally worth it!!

I used a little trickery. At first I told her I wanted to go to Cabo San Lucas. We got on the laptop to google it and the first 5 sites that popped up said "Cabo San Lucas: Best fishing destination in the world!" Well I definitely got a dirty look for that one. From there it could only get better for her. We compromised and she picked the spot and I asked for just ONE DAY of fishing. She agreed. Plus she likes to fish too.
