Cheers Dularge Trout 3-9-2012

Day 2 with Don and Glenn Nauck had us slinging in 15-18 inch trout at day break. We knew we had a window before the front got here to get our fish and we took advantage of it. Don got off to a hot start slinging in four in a row as soon as I killed the engine!! We got on a steady bite of all nice fish, big schools of mullet all around us. Once the bite tapered out we went check a couple other reefs picking a few up here and there. We called it a day when the sky started to turn black with the approaching front. Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad and Texas Tackle Factory Chicken on a Chain tight-lined did all the damage today. These baits hold up great and the trout can't get enough of them. No more changing tails every few fish like some of the other baits I used to use. Slick calm and zero wind this morning had the gnats out in full force. Thank goodness for Swamp Swatter to save us, if you have not tried Swamp Swatter you need too. Best product I've ever used to keep the gnats away. Thanks again guys for another fun filled morning of fishing.
