i wouldn't be without my power pole, but on the heavy oyster i use a 10' po-pole. it's 1" dia. and will bust through the shell(with a little effort) i've got po-pole mounts on the bow and stern, so i can position any way i want. i make the po-pole, so i,ve got em' all over so i can show people how they work.
