Great picture and a big frog. I am smart enough to figure out the frog is on a gig held four feet closer to the camera than the biker dude. The frog may not be big enough to eat crows, but I bet he would eat a sparrow. Thanks for sharing.

On the phone with my friend right now. He said the frog is about as big around as a paper plate. He said it's legs were as big around as his wrists. Figures it probably weighed 3 lbs or so. He did release it because it was the only frog he could find out that day. Also said his gig wouldn't penetrate the bone.

I am not siding with anyone, but when you want to show how big something is, place it next to something to get scale like a beer can, beer bottle, or a ruler, or your hand.


These are NOT photoshopped either, but you get the point, the last pic is a cottonmouth it appears to be about 70 lbs!

To answer your concerns W...

#1: Yes, Oklahoma is a real state and a real place. Louisiana is not the end of the earth although I don't expect you to understand that.

#2: It was gigged just under the skin so, I'm sure it will heal...Also, not everyone has the compulsion to be an internet superstar so, they don't call in pro photographers any time they get something unusual.

#3 He gigged a 3# (he figured) frog in daylight...Yes, frogs do come out in daylight hours and, can be caught. Released it daylight because, he figured if he waited till nightfall, the frog may become disoriented.

Any other concerns guys?
