The ruby-throats are what we get mostly, but in the winter lately people that keep out their feeders are seeing about 5 different species of what are typically 'western' hummingbirds. Birds aren't migrating all the way down to Central/South America, they are 'shortstopping' (similar to what Ducks Unlimited has been doing for years to keep ducks out the south
   ). Been well documented, there is a lady that bands them. My grandmother used to tell us they rode on the backs of geese!
