Sounds like the close rigs are producing too and I'd take any calm day on the gulf over a day on big lake

Donnie..... how is the grass [sea weed] out in the beach water?

Last summer it seemed like there was always lots of grass floating in the water making it hard to fish.

If the water does get "good"...... who is up to "Car Pool" down to the beach?

Jus walk in from the road and start slinging rubber. Normally, the trouts will hang on one side of the rocks, either east or west but not both, occasionally they will be in the gut (middle). When you figure out which side just fish it and move from rock pile to rock pile. If they aren't on the ends, it is a good bet they are infront (gulfside) so you will need to climb on the rocks to fish. Carry a beach towel with you and use it to rock hop without slipping. Those rocks are very slick and have barnicles that cut, wear good shoes and long pants. Rubber will catch 5:1 over live when the water is good so don't worry about soaking bait. Best colors are; margarita,glow/chart,opening night in rubber with 1/4 oz jighead. If you fish the rocks make sure you are using 20-30# flouro leader 6' long. There are plenty of rocks to fish, please find your own and don't crowd those already there. If ya see a red yak and cowboy hat fishing a set of rocks please move on since those trouts are mines.

It depends on where you go at the beach. The section between holly beach and the first rocks is a mud hole under that water, so any wave action stirs it up. I've seen it muddy there but a little further west and it was clean and clear.

Saturday at Constance, the water was stained turning green towards the end of the day. Sunday it was slightly muddy. Sargassum was thick, thick.

Yesterday the water was nice. I'm sure Armand will post a report. I think they caught 12 trout and a few reds.
