Default Car Bumper Repair Advice?!?!
I know someone on here has a body shop... I believe.Well my wife's car had a truck hitch punch a whole in her plastic bumper. My question is plastic bumpers cannot be repaired, just replaced right? And what are some recommendations on body shops in Lafayette area?

in the same kind of situation. was at a red light on Seigen and the person behind me rolled into me at like 1mph (lol duh!). left a slight dent in my bumper. (no holes)

how to fix ?

Plastic bumpers can be repaired depends on how much damage is done to it.

You must be driving an older truck! The new ones are worse than plastic bumpers!

Yep ('97)...and love it just as much as the day I bought it.

Thinking that when I do get a new one I'll get custom iron bumpers...
or at the very least a bull bar in the front

The rear bumpers are the real nightmare now days. Ford and GM both have rear bumpers that are about 8 pieces that are riveted and bolted together to make what appears to be a bumper. I can't tell you the number of low speed impacts (backing into a tree or other vehicle under 5mph) that we've fixed that cost over $2500 due to having to replace a bedside along with a bumper.

Yep!I backed in to something on a back corner of my 08 chevy at very low speed. Well the flimsy arse bumber took NO impact and just twisted in to the side pannel. Put a crease in the side pannel which made the paint sort of crack. Didnt even want to know what that would cost so I just left it as a reminder not to do stupid crap!

Sounds just like the back bumper on the passenger side of my 07 Chevy
