Do you know the name of it? I've been on a bunch of different rigs out there. But i will tell you the food probably wont be what you are expecting....dont take this the wrong way ...........i am not trying to be negative about it......but i thought the same thing when I went offshore for the first time.

If you dip or smoke, bring plenty. Nobody out here likes a tabacco bum.

Bring some cough drops. If anyone gets sick or comes to work sick, usually a chunk of the crew gets it too.
Also bring a combination lock to keep sticky fingers out of your locker.
I am on one of the biggest platforms in the GOM and the food here sucks.
And bring some flip flops to take a shower with. Unless you want to dip your toes in the gene pool.
Always carry a spare suit of clothing and shaving kit with you when traveling offshore, in case weather sticks you on a rig or platform you don't have any clothes on.
Hope you can sleep with lots of noise.

The bigger the platform or rig, the more crap you have to put up with.
Hope you start out small...

Wait till you guys see HH next month. After about day 10, he will probably go into a whack off frenzy and lose about 10 or 15 lbs. by the time he gets back...
