would either s.i. or d.i. be useful at locating reefs in shallower water like BL ? I would like to see some of those images, been considering getting one also.

I've seen pics of a shell field (i guess like mussels in northern lakes) using the red/green color palatte and you can see where the shells are located. I would think that it would be the same for an oyster reef.

I have the Lowrance Elite-5 DSI love it, I fish a small river but it has lots of water 15 - 20ft have found structure that I have fished for the past 25 years that had no clue it was there.
