I saw 200+ lb tarpon in east bay a few weeks ago. I tarpon fish in boca grand when I go to our family vacation home in ft Myers. I'd like to learn more about it and am willing to pay expenses in either your or my boat to learn

I just hired a new agent who likes to fish Tarpon around G.I. She has been doing so for a few years now, she has caught a few smaller ones but nothing over the 100lb mark. I am going to try and make a trip with her.

I'd love to catch a big one... The only one I've ever caught was about 12" under the GI bridge at night when i was trout fishing

For those who wanted to learn more about it, I HIGHLY recommend Capt. Lance "Coon" Schouest. He works (or did last time I saw him) with a guide service out of Coco. He takes his personal charters to target Tarpon outta GI. The guy is a legend, I learned more about tarpon technique in 8 hours with him than I could have on my own in 8 years. He's got over a dozen 200+ to his record, and ESPN even did an OTL piece on him.
