Default Spicers?

Thinking bout using Spicers to avoid the crowds at Calcasieu Point. Can anybody tell me if it's just as bad, etc. And yes I'm buying live shrimps being that I'll have my wife and little boy.

just be careful getting out of there, if you don't know where to go, its bad, and that place is usually very busy too

Either launch before 5:30 or after 7:00 to miss the crowds. Spicers is where I launch 90% of the time.

Public launch across from Browns Grocery usually isn't that bad.

I would launch there and buy bait there. You just need to set the expectation that it will take some time. Great launch ramp. TNP

Yes....when you cross the draw bridge in Hackberry take a left, then take another left. Just follow all the boat stalls.....you will see.

There are 2 launches there. One by the boat stalls and another one up near the store.

If you haven't launched there before, make sure you don't launch till daylight. Can be a little tricky getting from landing to channel if you have never done it before.

All you have to do is follow the left bank until you get to the ship channel.

There should be plenty of boats to follow. Also...... go slow, no wake.

Look on the current google maps. It looks like it was low tide when pic was taken. It'll give you an idea of where to go or not go.
