For catching shrimp..... the 1/2" mesh is a lot better than the 3/8" mesh. You don't catch much bait or small shrimp, so the culling is much easier.

Im gonna look around and aee what the price difference is between a 7ft and an 8ft. Im probably gonna go with the 3/8" because it will be used primarily for bait.where else would I be able to find one besides Walmart and academy?

Bass Pro, Cabelas or search the internet.
