Default Big Lake 5-20-12

Hit the lake yesterday morning with Asterisk Rich and my other buddy. Got on a solid topwater bite for first few hours. Put 8-9 nice trout in the box and lost just as many. Saw one set of birds right by where we were fishing with no boats on em so trilled up to em and caught about 10-15 with only about 3 or 4 big enough to keep. Went throw tops again in another spot. Made one drift and had about 5 or 6 big blow ups so turned around and made it again. And this big girl exploded on my spook. 6 1/2 pounds, CPR'd.

Fun day. Thanks for taking me.

Didn't realize how hard I fell yesterday when I almost went out the boat. Hurting today!

It wasn't bad. And when I put her back in the water to start to revive her she didn't even give me a chance. Ripped her tail right out my hand. She was fine.

No prob dude. Glad I could help. We caught some nice ones yesterday around where you caught that 5 1/2. I had one come off at the boat that was at least 5. I was having a rough trip on topwater yesterday. Landed 6 or 7 but had just as many come off. And not just blow ups. I had them hooked. Get them about half way to the boat and they would come off. Luckily I redeemed myself at the end of the day.
