I like to stay in Gruene, but if you float from there downstream you can't have an disposable containers on the river. Means you gotta put your beverages in a big cooler jug and drink out of reusable cups. Gruene Village condos are nice and close to some great music at Gruene Hall. Gruene River Inn is another place.

If you put in upstream of Gruene, no ban on disposables. You can stay in Gruene and then get one of the tube rental places to bus you upstream and you float back.

Thumbs down DON"T stay at Treehouse

Don't get suckered into a property called "the TREEHOUSE". It is a dump and the guy that owns this rental is a ****!

are you camping or wanting a condo......we always stay at waco falls. but we camp in campers. you also can rent a camper and set it up if you don't want to haul that far. we did that one year came out about the same once you factor in fuel

We stay at Lazy L&L. No cabins but you are less than 5 minutes from grocery and liquor stores. Best float is starting at Gerry's more chutes and falls.

YeP, Rock N R is at the Gruene bridge. Tube chute on the Comal is ok too. If no kids are with ya, head up to Rio Raft or someplace like that on River Road.

Gruene's cool for eating/drinking.
