Enoyed an afternoon of fishing with my nephew on Monday afternoon. We headed down to the Calumet area and caught some nice bass. We were able to get 8 in the boat and 1 catfish on jugs. We lost 3 more 2.5 lb range bass at the boat that ran at the boat so quickly with our rubber crawfish in their mouth we could not get the hook set. Half of them and the biggest were caught on chartreuse spinnerbaits with painted blades, the others were caught on junebug colored rubber crawfish. Had trouble with the wind, but we managed through it. Water was clean with mediocre visibility. Good fun afternoon!
