After catching these fish at the jetties with my wife and brother, we were headed back north on 27 when the trailer popped off of the ball. It scraped the safety chains on the ground and quickly ground them through.

I was watching the boat and trailer in the review mirror completely powerless to do anything. My brother declined my offer to slow his jeep and try and bring the rogue trailer and boat to a stop by gradually slowing the jeep. The trailer soon swerved into the oncoming (southbound) lane before swerving back to the right and into the roadside ditch.

The two ice chests with the fish and a lot of ice were riding in the boat the whole time. The lids popped open, but all I had to do was hop up in the boat and put some spilled ice back and close the lids. All was well with the ice chests and fish inside.
Lol. Now that's funny.
