Default Just got a new kayak... Accessory?

Picked one up today and got in the pool with it, I thought it wasn't very stabil. So now I'm wondering if any of you have put outriggers on it yourself. Don't want to buy a system would rather rig it myself to save some cash. Thanks for your help

While at the gas station...... I saw a guy that had "homemade" outriggers on his Pirogue. He had used PVC pipe and the plastic floats from a swimming pool lounge chair.

Sorry..... no picture.
