Default Power problems

I have a 17ft bay stealth, 04 model and it has an 03 90hp 2 stroke Yamaha on it and it has a 13 1/4 x17 prob on it only getting on the tac trimmed up as far as need for top speed at its at 4500 rpm, but it has no power for like hole shot or end loading trailer really. Just curious on what y'all think could be the problem, repitching, or what, would also like to try a couple different prop pitches before I buy one if any one has some that will fit my motor there possibly willing to part with. Please let me know. Any suggestions and if u have a prop I can try or buy.

Default prop

I am no expert i just play one on the internet, but sounds like your prop would be too big, but 17p prop shouldn't be too big, you should be able to get atleast 5500-6000rpm out of that motor, 4500-5000 is good cruising rpm, but that shouldn't be your max, i had a 40hp turning a 17p prop at more than 5k rpm, i would play around with different props and see what gives!!!!!

Did you get the boat used? Maybe the prob had been reworked to a bigger pitch.
