I'm new to yakin and love it. To me an anchor trolley is a must. Helps you adjust for wind, current, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I added a rope cleat to my yak $2 vs $25, my disadvantage is I can't change anchor points to position right for wind and water current.

That's my disadvantage too I guess. I never really thought about it before, but that could really help at the beach with the current, wind etc.

Trolly used to be the first thing i would install on a new yak. I got away from the store bought anchor trolley and marsh anchor. I use weights and harken cleats on bow and/or stern. We call this the choupique anchor. Harken cleats are about $20 but well worth it. They are spring loaded for one hand operation. |
