Default Prien to Haymark

Decided to take an afternoon trip yesterday with my son who has been begging me to go. Got on the water at around 5 and went to see if anything was going on in Lake Charles and found Ray fishing from the seawall and was catching some nice reds and specks. We picked up a couple in the middle of Lake Charles and decided to travel a little and found some birds working the channel by Haymark and picked up a few more there and further up found some more birds working almost to Moss Lake and picked up some more there. My son was reeling them in with a bang time cork and gulp under it and I was using a spook jr bone/silver in color. The water was looking good and the bird action was fast they would work for about 15 or 20 minutes and it was over. It was a good day on the water and meeting friend and having my son with me made it even better. We also tagged some of the smaller ones that we caught.

nice report. I usually run the seawall on my lunchbreak and have seen loads of bait in Lake Charles along the seawall. Saw something exploding on them a couple days ago about 4 casts lengths away from the seawall.
