Have you ever thought about using New York subway tiles for a back splash. They are like 3"x5" and look great.
Tat is what is on that splash in tw photo , maybe you can't see it cuz I took it with my phone. In out new home we are doing both baths upstairs with the old school hexagon tiles on te floor , subway tile wainscot and ceramic chair rail . Black/ white with white marble counter tops.
