Your boat is definitely made for that extra run out....and the 2 extra ft. of your boat have to be a big help too. My boat is only 22 ft and definitely made more for inshore fishing so I didn't want to venture too far out. I would have been excited with a limit of 16 in snapper. I just wish we could have landed a couple of those ling.

My old boat was almost the twin to yours, and this one is a big change. I had the Blazer Bay 22' before this one and don't regret the upgrade at all. It is still "light" so a rough sea makes the trim tabs earn their money. But for what I do with it, it works. Now that snapper season is closed, I will target the closer areas for ling, tripletail, and mangroves when the trout are not cooperating.
