How is access to the beach on Elmers Island? Last time I went, it was a few years ago, it was pretty tore up for about 50 yards and lots of vehicles where getting stuck, after that patch it was fine.

I was there last weekend and saw no problems. I drive a subaru, but saw a honda and a few other cars pulled right up to the beach. The waves were rough but there were a few brave ones wade fishing.
