When the water up near the salt water barrier starts to get a little salty.....fishing for Red's will get better.

One pattern that works for me is to fish a gold spinner bait with a soft plastic bait along the bank. Fish it really slow during the hot summer down near the bottom.

Hold on the the rod..... you never know if a 10" or 30" Red will take the bait.

There are 2 cuts going into the marsh down stream of the SB..... fish them if the tide is moving. Fish the cut or out toward the river.

Thanks for the tip...does the soft plastics design or color make much difference in your experience?

I don't think so. I like the Paddle or Split tail type baits.
