Default Headed to Verm Bay

Been working my tail off, finally got back in from offshore today and gonna make an impromptu trip to Vermillion Bay. Not much tide movement and NO wind so might be tough conditions, but the beer will certainly be cold. I'll follow up with a report tomorrow. Cheers!

I'd bring plenty of beer! That's probably all you'll have in an ice chest. Still better than sitting in front of the CPU all day though!

I caught 8 keepers thursday afternoon in cove but barely keepers. They've been tight lipped lately.

Last night we fished from dusk to around midnight... Ran straight to Dry Reef and stayed there, hoping the rig lights would give up some trout. Water looked pretty good and salty. For the first couple hours we didnt have much tide, and did not catch anything on plastic. Broke out the shrimp hoping for a few redfish, but gave up with that after all the baby gafftops. My fishing partner continued fishing shrimp and caught a bunch of small drum and croakers along with the turd hustlers... Tide started going out and as soon as it did, I caught a nice trout. Thought it was going to be game on after that, and it was, but it was all 10 inch white trout. Oh well, the beer went down good and we enjoyed a nice night on the water.
