We use to hunt the area around Salters Bluff and I know about getting turned around so I keep GPS on and bring compass, I am told that its getting better as far as the trees down and such but I guess we are just gonna have to go walk and look I am just curious bout south end vs north end.

I have hunted both areas and seen deer in both. I would say that you have a lot more choices in the northern part of the island.

Where is the Salters Bluff boat launch? Which road is it on?

Just south of Cut Off Bayou, the launch puts you on Dynamite slough
