Yet Another Question

Dropped off a chainsaw to get fixed at a place in Lafayette that also sells boats. While dropping it off, I asked the person at the counter what the price of one of their 25 hp motors was, she said she couldn't tell me, I said can you give me a ballpark thinking that maybe she didn't know, but she said that by law she could not tell me the price on an outboard because she was not a licensed outboard something or another I have never heard of this, maybe everytime I have asked this question I have asked it to a licensed outboard salesperson but what gives?

Just about all 25 four strokes are going for 3 grand give or take a lil.

This was at Black's Outdoor and Marine in Lafayette. I have never heard of such a thing, but I guess everywhere I have looked at boats and motors was a boating specialty place. She said it was a law

Whered you get those prices from? The cheapest i found was $3500. All were from $3500-$4000

A podna of mine bought a 25 mercury (tohatsu with merc stickers) at evolution marine a few months ago for 2800

David can come across as difficult at times but they know what they're doing with chain saws and boats. I really doubt she knew the price and was giving you the company line but she should have taken your name and number for a followup call from David or little David. Always amazes me the lack of service some days. I have always received great service at Blacks but everyone has a bad day from time to time.

STAY AWAY from that place!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had enough bad dealings with them. Learned my lesson! Deal with them and you will find out for yourself.
