I just bought a new Glock 19. I've heard too many rumors about possession in your vehicle. So tell me can I keep it in my center console? Glove box? Under the seat? Only worried about Louisiana and Texas. Thanks

You need to be more worried about the lowlife scumbags that will punch your lock and take your gun when its parked somewhere. Keep the cheapest pistol you have confidence in and one that won't make you sick to your stomach if it gets stolen.

I tried to look up TX law and couldnt really find their law on this but it seems like I remember that if you are one or two county's into TX and you are from LA you are pretty safe with LA law but if you are traveling TX you are suppose to have gun and bullets in separate areas of car....... the way to be safest in all these situations is get your CC licenses so you can carry in your car or on yourself and have the law on your side

You can carry a gun in your vehicle but has to be in glove box or console also got in a car accident in TX and had to get car towed so I told the cop I needed to get my pistol out and he said ok and didn't ask any questions.

This is not correct. It can be anywhere in your vehicle. It is an extension of your home. I am positive of this.

What jchief is saying is correct. It can be anywhere in the vehicle you want it to be and it can be loaded. It is always a good idea to tell the office you have one when you get pulled over. Surprises r not a good thing. Can't help you in TX cause I don't know.
