Some of the best dove hunts I have ever seen were at Crowe Farms in Pioneer - just down the road.

Oak Grove is closer to Rutherfords Beach and the Mermentau River.
You can launch in Oak Grove and get the Mermentau and beach.
Old Nunez launch area at the T.

Ray.....is that the launch on the west side of the bayou and just a little south of Trosclair rd. If I remember correctly, that spot only has a little shells to make the "ramp" and only good for smaller boats.

The "Old Nunez Launch" is not open to the public. If you are able to launch there, where the old river goes to the west is silted in and you cannot gain access to the gulf. You can go east and access the Mermentau but it is very shallow. There is a small channel that runs through there, just follow the crab pots.

I was trying to figger out where it was. I was thinking it was a house.
That makes sense now that you said the name.
