Default Bass at Brec North Sherwood Pond Say Hi to you guys

They typically start schooling up this time of the year busting up on shad.
Easy pickings right now and at times you can see them jump out of the water.
So close to the house for my fishing buddy and I that we can fish it every evening.
They been starting to bite real good since last Thursday.

Fishing buddy with grumpy bass

Lazy bass

Dirty bass

Sleepy bass

Hungry bass

Buddy sent me a pic of this bass today
All released so I can catch them again.

No it is Haw River bubble gum worm 6" in Key lime and sometimes use the glow.
I find if you rig them right watch out.
I tried zoom years ago and they are so large the bass just rip the worm close to the hook.
They will rip this worm close to the hook if it is a short strike or small bass.
If short strike really watch it before setting the hook.
I love the worms but the only store around here that carries them is Gus tackle in Slidell or
you have to order them online.

Catch a bunch of nice bass there in the spawn sight fishing. thank you for putting them back. Pond is a great catch and release spot. but so small that a few trips like that would hurt it if you keep them.

We took our son out there one time to target some sort of trout they stocked in the pond. They encouraged you to take a few, I think it was 4. They were quite tasty, and easy to catch.
