Those big ling come in shallow this time of the year. Half of the ones we cleaned had eggs, so seems like they come up shallow 20-30 ft guess to spawn, this time of year. We were on them pretty good a month ago in much deeper water. We ran south about 20-30 miles couple days ago and a few ling.

They did this last year and they were thick for a few weekends. Then they vanished, no weather snap or water change. Guess just a migratory species- but they are a blast to sight cast to and catchy
