A friend of mine picked up a DPMS Panther 5.56 Oracle at Cabela's last week for just over $600. My question is, should I try and build a budget rifle or just go pick up the DPMS? It's nice, but HEAVY!! I was figuring that the poly LW-15 lower would help drop some weight on it.
if you peice your own together, don't forget to get someone to check headspace on it before firing it, most of the time with ARs its correct, but if it isn't it could be disastrous to your gun once fired!
just bought rear sight today another $40 spent on it!
