Default Fishing around Cameron

i just started fishing about 8 or 9 months ago and was wondering where to put in around cameron. i've got a 16ft with a 90. i know there are a few spots just don't know if any will have rougher seas than i can handle since i sometimes fish by myself. get me close and ill google map it or something. thanks

I guess they still have a launch on the east side at the Cameron jetties.

You can also launch at the Creole Nature Trail and fish west cove and Hog Island Gully which will bring you out to the ship channel by 9 mile cut, wash out, etc..... Close enough that if it gets rough you can get back in protected waters very quickly.

Both of these launches are located in the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge so read the rules.

There is a launch on the ship channel not far from the Gulf on the east side. Be careful to watch for big waves if a Crew boat is passing. Also sometimes the boat ramp has seaweed on the ramp that you might need to clear off to get good tractions when pulling to boat out.

There is a launch on the West side also. Just to the North of the Cameron Ferry.
