PIC of new Rancher 420

Well I picked up my new bike 420 Rancher mnauel shift on THURS from Friendly Honda in BR....

I had them add the stick stopper plus the front and back rack.

I think I will likely put some 26-9-12 Silverback X Mud Lite tires on it.....

Anyone ever run the ag tires on their bikes in the rice fields, they tall and skinny but same thing they run on tractors

If you are just using this bike for hunting you will regret the silver backs. If you still want to go big I'll get rid of my 28 mud zillas. If you're interested pm. If I was you I would o 589s all the way.

589s are great tires for a hunting bike

28 is too big to put on a Rancher since I will not put a lift kit on it....I have had 3-4 peeps tell me this. I want the best mud tire out there which I will only keep on from NOV -JAN (duck season) to pass the bike thru our rice field cut.

So on the 589's, they work well for pass thru pond / rice field..

Id stick to vampires or outlaws in 26 for hunting season imo 589's are a good trail/mud tire but not aggressive enough for a rice field unless its dry. Im sure some one will come on here and argue otherwise though. Some 27" skinny outlaws all the way around may help with more clearance yet still give you an aggressive tread.

X2....during hunting season it will be used (90%) in the rice pond....

Also, I was told to get the same size on the back as the front which are 2" smaller (26" X9"X12").....

Thats what i was refering to with skinnys, running them should leave extra power to hop up to 27" tires instead of 26s

26x9x12 is the way to go. If you need more clearance just put more air.
I run the swamp lites in the rice field they are great and clean themselves well. Also are smooth on rough ground.

I loved my swamp lites on my Rubicon but never used them in the rice field so didn't know how they would grab. Hard to go wrong with any of the aggressive V pattern tires in the soup though. They are rough on bikes on hard ground but priceless in the mud. I think it's safe to say that none of us enjoy pushing our 4 wheelers

Years ago, I was farming with a friend. We had 3 wheelers w ag tires. Did great. Also had a winch on them with a big Danforth anchor in case we got.stuck. never had any issues
