Default VBay Saturday

Had a N La friend come down and we fished Cyp Pt, water wasn't too pretty but fish were there. Fished mainly out from the point and around Mud Point. Fished up in the marsh for an hour or so and caught some nice reds and a couple big trout in the marsh evern though the water wasn't too pretty. The trout were busting some big shrimp, we caught a few jumbo shrimp with our hands as they were trying to seek shelter from the trout

The fishermen - my lord I have never seen anything like that as I have never fished there during the prime season for trout. We pull out from the canal into the cove and 100 yds away there are birds working. I put down the trolling motor and start easing towards them and before I could get there 4 boats come wide open and shut down 20 yards from the birds. It was like that anytime birds were working. Amazing to say the least. For whatever reason, I would venture to say at least 1/4 of the boats out there did not have a trolling motor maybe more than that. I will digress, but we had a great time and the weather was pretty awesome. 40 specks, 3 reds, couple of whites and a couple jumbo shrimp for the grill.
specks were on h and h cocahoes in '**** of the walk' color, saw them in Broussard and they look really good
