Default Need input on a Bay Boat

Does anyone have any experience with a Key West 216 Bay Reef, or a 2110 Nautic Star? How do they both ride? Which one fishes better? Anything you can share would be helpful.

I know a few guys on the site have the 2110, so I am sure you will get some feedback soon.

Welcome aboard

I have a key west bay reef 216 pluses are great ride as it has 19 degree dead rise plus comes from factory with trim tabs. I have a Yamaha 200 hpdi on mine it will do around 50mph. I have been 40 miles offshore with it and find it handles the swells very well for a bay boat. It's also a very heavy boat at over 2000 pounds dry witch also helps the ride in the chop. Also a dry ride. The negatives would prolly b the storage and the details r not as nice as some boats and also some of the wireing could be ran better. Mine is older though as I think it's a 2003 so some of this may have been updated. I know I like the look of the new 24 foot bay reef! Maybe I will b able to upgrade one day lol

I have a friend with a Key west 196 bay reef and it has been a great boat. It has held up and he runs it like he stole it across verm. bay. Never a problem with it. And I have a buddy with a 24 nautic star. It has never had problems either. I know you cant compare a 19.5 boat to a 24 ft boat, but i like the key west a lil better. Both have mercury motors and that would be the only thing both owners would change.

I was looking to make a trip south tomorrow. Would anybody be able to give me a few pointers on where would be a good location to try and catch some trout or reds or anything good to fry! Lol I have not been in over 6 months and I'm driving from Alexandria. Hate to drive that far without a plan. I will say that if anyone is interested in fresh water...I know up this way the white perch are doing excellent on Indian Creek on jigs (Tennessee shad) in 12-14 ft. Jigging over grass.. (coon-tail)... Also the bass are ganging up on the shad in the middle part of the lake but lots of small ones, starting to see bigger ones busting them but I'm ready for some SALT water action! Any help will be appreciated! Thanks

Pastor J -> Squirrel!

I just got a 2110 Nautic Star and i love it. both key west and Nautic stars are nice boats. looks like KW has the HP advantage, 250 max with an 80 gallon tank over NS 150 max and 49 gallon tank.

I chose the NS with the merc 150 4 stroke for economy. Gas is not getting any cheaper. Speed means nothing if you cant go fish because of gas prices.

I have a 2110 and the 24TE nautic stars. They are both great boats in my opinion . My 2110 is rated for a 200 hp but has a 150 Merc Opti on it . Runs 46 wot. Best fuel milage is around 38-4000 rpms . My 2110 is for sale here in the classifieds if your interested .
