There were some breakins recently around the Lebleu Settlement and Lacassine areas... small white car was the report we were getting and all during daylight hours while people were at work. Someone came home on Newcomer Rd (North of Iowa) the other day and 2 women were robbing their house. The homeowner detained them and called the cops. NOt sure if it was the same 2 but im glad they were caught.

Sorry to hear that ASR, even though I don't like you too much, nobody deserves to get their home invaded and their property stolen. Glad you and your family are safe and nobody was hurt.

This is a totally screwed up deal. You prolly got robbed by some Katrinia refuges that got moved out of N.O. after the storm. I would definitely get a alarm set up . They might rob you but they will have to be fast because 2 min. after the alarm goes off if you don't answer your phone the cops will be on the way, guns ablazing. Sorry for you loss. Thank God no one was at home. You can replace stuff without any problem, it just sucks that someone would invade your privacy this way.
Good Luck

Way of life in Trashy Baton Rouge.
I live next to thugs and we even seen the guys steal from our neighbors and when you video tape them and call the BRPD nothing happens. If you go after the thugs you are violating their rights. Until we change things were we can clean the trash up off our streets this will be a way of life in Trashy Baton Rouge.

1. We need to clean up the BRPD and clean house.
If you do not live in Baton Rouge you shouldn't represent us.
When I was coming up in the same neighborhood I lived in we had officers that lived on
every street. Back then they were apart of the neighborhood. Now they are outsiders.

2. Open the city jail and start going after people with warrants.
Right now they sit on the porch laughing when they get a letter saying they got a warrant. These are people who are robbing people, breaking into homes, etc.
One time these thugs next to me stole a vehicle and the alarm was going off.
I called Baton Rouge Kiddy Police to report the incident. 6 hours later they show up.
Something wrong here.

If I was mayor I would lock this trash up and make them work hard time while in jail.
I would make a prison in Devi's Swamp. Make big tent cities. Make them work the fields to grow vegtables which 1/2 used to go foodbank and other 1/2 for retail sales to offset prison cost. Other jobs would be putting them on chain gangs cleaning up abandon homes, lots, and parks inside the city. Feed them franks and beans with rice that is it.

Until we start enforcing the laws, making judges accountable for enforcing the laws, and making jail hard time by making them work in the fields in the hot sun nothing going to happen. Just like training a dog with an invisible fence. After a few times of getting shocked they learn where the invisible fence line is.

If it wasn't a 65 triayler house it's a safe bet that you have replacement on contents. They will take care of your claim prompty and hopefully suggest a floater for your valuables incase there is a next time. Call me if you have any questions.
