Made a trip out to the big lake this morning and didn’t have to go far to find some fish. Which was okay with me due to the temp. this morning. The water had a slight stain to it and there was a little wind then no wind and changed back a forth through out the morning. The tide was going out slow and the water temp was between 67 and 69 degrees. I fished just outside Turners but no future than Pelican Point. Only used one bait today and it was the Natural Shrimp Jerk Jr. on a 1/4 oz lead head. I found that a slow retrieve and slow action with the rod tip today worked better than a lot of action on the rod. Ended up with a limit of trout and two reds. Had about six throw backs and only used one bait for the whole trip and I think I can get another trip on that bait before changing. I did see a couple of sets of birds working in Turners by the channel and another couple of sets in the mid lake area. Didn’t have to chase birds the bite was good where I was at. I did leave them biting and the throw backs got tagged.

Also got to try that flounder hole out Ray and they were all small maybe next time.
