Default Tough Day in the Bay

Had a feeling today would not be too good given the forcast, but could not stand sitting at home so decided to make a go of it. Started in the hammock and only caught one nice trout... Tried a few spots I caught fish at last week but notta... After a little while we decided to fish the birds, but with the wind and rough seas it was difficult to get into position. Was surprised to see birds working at all, given the lack of tide and the rough conditions... Ended up running to mud pt to get out of the wind, and what do you know the seas lay down for a couple hrs... Fished some birds near mud pt and caught a few small specks and a bunch of white trout. My buddy wanted some fish so we ended up keeping 19, 9 of which were specks... Tomorrow should be better as far as wind, but the tide is lacking. I would suspect that if you get out early you can catch a morning bite. Tight lines...

much better than what I did today.. Last weekend the mud point area was full of small specs too. I was thinking I would go for bass this weekend, but I may go for specs instead. Tough decision
