![]() Also is more decoys always better or do you like to take the approach of "less is more" and have a small spread. |

It depends on the size of the pond and the marsh.
Early season, less works. Later in the season, when they are spooky, more works better. When they get spooky and hit potholes, just sit on a pothole with a pair of decoys in it. |

Have a pond the size of 5 football fields with 1000 decoys mostly Pintail and coots....2 doz mallards, 3 doz teal, four speck floaters and 2 remote robos.....4 man blind avg 18 birds a day....also killing specks regularly....studies show from an aerial view white and black are colors best seen. 2nd pond 2 football fields with aprox 250-300 decoys same combination and has been purty steady also. 90% of decoys used are Green Head Gear.

Gonna buy a few dozen for my brother as a Christmas gift and want to get some decent ones. He bought some that the paint only lasted 2 hunts then started peeling off.

Look into these, the price is right. A buddy of mine started using them and loves them. http://FISHINGNOODLE.COM/DUCK-DECOYS_c5.htm
