Default What are you cooking for Thanksgiving Day???

I know about all the traditionals, is there something special that you and your family cook?

Our Thanksgiving Dinner is "Oysters"

Raw, Bienville, Rocerfeller, Oyster Spaghetti, Duck and Oyster Gumbo, Oyster Casserole and fried!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the SC family!

My wife volunteered me to fry turkeys for her family. Only problem is I've never done it!! I've always held the pan for my old man.

The 2 things I look forward to is my mom's green bean casserole and my grandma's jambalaya.

The oilless fryers work great. Just make sure and check your temps all over the bird. May need to flip the bird during cooking.

Think of the best most tender roast you have ever eaten. Cow tongues is like that but better! Sounds gross, but very delicious!

FlagUS Thanksgiving Dinner

As I'm out of the country (Thailand) and my wife is not due to join me here until early next month, I am going to visit a local institution (especially known for their Thanksgiving Dinners).
Bourbon Street Restaurant!
Yep, imported Butterball turkeys served fried, baked, smoked...and all the trimmings available to us expats living & working here. It doesn't beat being home for the holidays, but it sure does make it much nicer for us. Happy Thanksgiving to all of the SC family from Thailand!!

A good friend of mine from HS worked a crane mechanic, he started his own crane service company in Thailand and is doing really well.

Skip the restaurant part and i couldn't help but get a vision of a duck with head attached and 4 small adults around the table singing....Tis da season to be jorry, fa rah rah rah rah....rah rah rah rah.....I know, I need help!

Besides that....Thanksgiving at the deer camp....Traditional Turkey dinner with some sort of backstrap extravaganza involving cream cheese, bacon and a host of other artery clogging ingredients....Makes it hard to keep the eyes open on the afternoon hunt!
