![]() The LDWF website says: "Single shot, breech loading rifles, .35 caliber or larger having an exposed hammer that uses metallic cartridges loaded either with black powder or modern smokeless powder. All of the above may be fitted with magnified scopes." Sounds like it to me but people keep telling me it is still illegal. |

The first year they came out with "Primitive Weapons" season in Louisiana there was a stipulation that the gun design had to be PRE 1900 or something of that nature. That date EXCLUDED Thompson because they were designed much later. It has since been changed to exclude that date and I believe the TC guns are all legal now. I would call LDWF just to make sure though.

Called LDWF and got it "from the horse's mouth": yes, it became legal this year as per criteria listed above.
