Default Scratch in V.B.

Seems every time we hear they are biting, we go and come home empty.
Sunday, Cove, Sharks bayou, trash pile, hammock, tried them all with no luck. Did not see anyone else catch.

Hate to admit I did the same on Sat. Only saw 1 fish caught all day and the water is beautiful. I will not get in a crowd of boats no matter how many fish are there. Rather do nothing & relax than fight the crowd.

Didn't even try inside the bay today. Fished birds outside of the pass. Nothing but reds. Caught a bunch until they wore us out. Left them biting. All were over 27 inches, so only came home with two. Nice day on the water.

Damn that sounds like a blast! How far out did you need to go?

Fished right in the mouth of the pass, on the north side. Very large flock of birds stayed in one spot for hours, so we were able to anchor. The tide was rolling out hard and the water was pretty nice. Fished with light tackle and had a number of broken lines, straightened hooks, and a broken rod. There was only one other boat fishing near us, and they caught plenty, also. It was a blast!

That's awesome man! I'm going to have to remember that next time the trout aren't biting.

Fished saturday. started in the hammock at sun up- nothing. Caught a big flounder and a nice speck near the camps/cove. Fished around shark bayou- nothing. Fished north weeks on the outskirts of the boat party. Didn't realize that many people had a boat. caught a nice red 4 specks and 2 flounders. Thought we had a bad day until i started talking to others and realized we did better than most.
