Why in the world people recommend recommend such underpowered calibers for CC is unknown to me. Sure these smaller calibers have put people under, but that is not a reason to add them to the arsenal for self defense. Shot placement is the only reason these calibers do the job. If a person has not been through rigorous training, more likely than not, shot placement will be subpar in a fight or flight situation. Why not step it up to a caliber that can even the odds a bit even with poor placement? I would at least recommend a .38 with premium hollowpoints for a female.
