If all the paperwork we filled out was in fact registration, how could you get away with selling your gun without reporting it to the Fed? How would we be allowed to buy used guns with no issue on classifieds or at gun shows?

Registration is a lie.
I was told this exact same thing by a salesman at Lafayette Shooters. He also said the paperwork is destroyed within 24 hours after the gun is sold.
