![]() Killed drake 2yrs ago south of Kaplan and hen this yr second split in grand chenier behind t mays property. Can't move body parts but I can move and tweak whole bird. I think the hen needs to be rolled more left and drake up and left(facing) to create the pair that came in when I shot her this yr. crumpled her first shot and left the drake for my buddy but he missed all 3 shots at 5-10yds. Lol. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358913449.662426.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1358913467.810350.jpg The way this one is set next to my recliner I can't move him 2 much because of space but I'm thinking of moving lamp back a bit then rolling him up so you can see more head. Both came out great I believe and he had em done in 2wk @50$/pc and he took my 12yr old pin and repainted beak, fixed feathers, and added it to better drift wood for free. Does all airbrushing himself in very real colors ex: wood duck beaks and that kinda stuff. He also uses all real parts instead of fake rubber like on the mallard drake that he didnt do. |

nice stuff. I just dropped a mount off yesterday. wanting to start a hen/drake collection of every type. I figure its a good life long plan to chip away at a lil every year.

$50 for a mount is extremely cheap. How does he manage to do it for $150 less and have such a good turn around time?

50 is extremely cheap. mine will be 225. I'd like to see some of his mounts over a few years. not saying he does a bad job but he may not be preparing things right. and after a few years the evidence may be visible. I talked to my guy a few years ago about wuick turnarounds and he said usually they arent prepared properly and over years the skin starts drawing up and pulling away from the molds, among many other problems he told me. guy definitely knows his stuff.

My guy does them for $225 as well. He does them very quick too but I have some that are a few years old and still look great. I would be willing to give this guy a test run with a widgeon I got that I didn't want to mount cause I just dropped off a redhead. What's his number gizzle?
