Default Vermillion bay/burns point 1/26/2013

Left from Burns point on sat. morning and the water was slick as glass and as muddy as water gets. Stopped at a few reefs and the water was bad all over. Headed south of marsh island and we found water that was a lil better. Still no fish. Caught a big nasty 40 pound drum and a 14 inch redfish, and thats it. Got to run the boat. If it doesnt rain the water will get better. They say the west side of southwest pass is nice water. Next report .......nuttin but trout!

Been 3 or 4 years since I fished there....I remember going to nickle and scratching and on the way in stopped at rabbit. We were catching them two at a time on double rigs till it got dark. Water was very clear then you could see the bottom.
