I never said it was junk, but I do know it isn't made here, and I do know that the newer versions have a lot of cylinder wobble and timing issues. Then We are talking a magnum round that will magnify any discrepancy in craftsmanship.

You shoot cheap reloads from a crazy uncle for critical defense? Or do you shoot targets and snakes with them?

Ruger and S&W have WAY more track record and credibility in critical environments than Rossi will ever have. So, I stand by the fact that IMHO I would NEVER sacrifice a couple hundred bucks. Heck, that's nothing over the life of the gun.

Check the reviews on their other products too, Rossi and saving $250 isn't worth my life.
