I own a rossi .357 and love it. Its a great solid shooting pistol. Never any problems. Plus it shares the Taurus lifetime warranty.

good buddy of mine just recently jumped on one for around that same price along with a bunch of ammo. He seems pretty excited about and I didnt hear anything negative about it.

Can I ask why? Is it with parts, service, or is there a constant problem.

I'm of the mentality that its cheaper for a reason, I compete against cheaper products every day and they are cheaper not because I'm greedy, but because their materials and processes are of lesser quality.
I wouldn't buy the cheapest parachute on the market or the cheapest scuba gear either. When it's life on the line, I want to know my firing pin is going to be there, or the mechanism is going to function. My opinion. |

Everyone loves to say that if its cheaper, it has to be junk. Make your decision based on opinions by people with actual experience with the gun. I love it and would buy another in a second. But, thats me.

I like his gun a lot but its a little long, looking for something for the truck and a shorter barrel is more comfortable for the wife.

You shoot cheap reloads from a crazy uncle for critical defense? Or do you shoot targets and snakes with them? Ruger and S&W have WAY more track record and credibility in critical environments than Rossi will ever have. So, I stand by the fact that IMHO I would NEVER sacrifice a couple hundred bucks. Heck, that's nothing over the life of the gun. Check the reviews on their other products too, Rossi and saving $250 isn't worth my life. |

I dont doubt what you stated. I did the research also before i bought mine. Rossie has come a long way from what it used to be. My opinion is from my own experience which is what he was asking for.
